In this video Matthew Hussey shares advice on what you shouldn’t do on a date.
Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself
Okay so things can go wrong on a date. They probably will if you set your standards too high. If you believe that everything needs to be perfect, well you are in for disappointment because things never do run 100% smoothly as that is not life, and on a date you are with another person so you cannot be 100% in control of the outcome. But you CAN lighten up a little, and not be afraid to laugh at yourself and not take life too seriously.
If something goes wrong during a date, 1) don’t see it as having gone wrong’ because all that happened, is that it did not go as you hoped it would. 2) you are in full control as to where you take things next so you can turn it into a positive.
If you sit back and make a big deal of it chances are you WILL spoil the date but guys like women who can laugh at themselves so do it
Lighten the mood and help him relax too
If you lighten the mood you also help him to relax, chances are he is just as nervous about doing something wrong as you are. If you show that you do not care about mishaps and can turn them into positives, it eases the pressure on him too and he will also relax and then both of you can enjoy a much nicer date
Remember : there are no set rules for what you should and should not do on a date. Use your integrity, use your mind. But if you do feel that something has gone ‘wrong’ then bring it back by being creative and positive. Guys love women who take charge and are confident enough to ride it, out laugh it off, and go with the flow!
