How To Get Rid Of Your Emotional Baggage

Video Summary

In this video, Mirabelle Summers shares tips on how to get rid of your emotional baggage.

Drop your baggage as it will cost you

If you carried baggage that was too heavy into an airport, you would have to pay a penalty and the same applies to real life. The more excess baggage that you carry, the higher the price to your love life, as dates start to cancel on you and begin to think that you are not ready for a relationship based in the present as you are still hung up on your past. Learn to leave the past where it belongs.

Enforce closure. You have to make it happen

But you may say that you find it hard to leave your baggage behind because your past was so painful. Thing is, you have to make a choice to want to live in the present and to put your baggage away – it takes a concerted effort, You may never just get over something yet many women sit and wait for that day to come.

YOU need to decide to enforce closure and you can do this by clearing out old momentos and giving them to a Girlfriend so that she can keep them in a box for you, some place where if ever you want to look at them you can, but you create space so that you keep yourself grounded and reminded of where you are and where you need to be right now – IN THE PRESENT MOMENT.

Give your new date space to be

You block the flow of connecting with your new date when you talk about past anyway, so give your new date a chance to show himself, and be who he is, without feeling like he is in someone else’s shadow (your exes).

Imagine how you would feel if your date rambled on about his last girlfriend. You would hate it. So remember to focus on the person who is sat in front of you!
