How To Define Success

Video Transcript

Hi, I’m Dr. Margaret Paul.  I’m the co-creator of the very powerful inner-bonding healing process that’s been recommended by actress Lindsay Wagner and singer Alanis Morrisette.

And I’d like to talk to you today about success.  How do you define success?  Is success for you having a lot of money or having a tonne of friends that admire you, or having a lot of sex with people, or a beautiful car, a beautiful house?  How do you define success?  Is it being well-known or being famous?

The problem in our society is that I think we’re very very off-base.  It’s not that there’s anything wrong with those.

It’s not that there’s anything wrong with having a lot of money–but what if you lose it?  Does that mean that you’re no longer a successful person?

I’d like you to consider another way of defining success.  I’d like you to consider looking at success by how kind you are to yourself and others and what you contribute to the world in terms of helping others.

Now what if people who did have a lot of money defined their success not in terms of their money, but in terms of what they contributed to other people?

There’s a lot of people in the world–a lot of businesses that make a lot of money that do the exact opposite of contributing.  They take away from society.  They’re greedy.  They use people.

They put up commercials that say things to draw people in and help people feel that if they only have this car or they eat this food, they’ll be a successful person, meaning that people will like them and approve of them.

But do they like and approve of themselves?  Do they value who they are?

Are they coming from kindness to themselves and to others?

I’d like you to consider redefining success by being a loving human being to yourself and to others and contributing that to the world and that if you do make a lot of money which would be wonderful to use that in a way that truly helps others rather than harms others which unfortunately is happening way too often in our society.

We have a wonderful website called innerbonding.com where you can learn how to truly love yourself and share that love with others.

I’d like you to check out our website, our free course, our membership site, and all that we offer because you can learn to truly value yourself on the inside and know who you truly are, know that being a success means being a loving human being on the planet and sharing that with others.
