Dating and Texting Advice For Women

Video Transcript

In my last video, I talked about the common mistakes that guys make when they choose to text a girl instead of calling her and having a real live conversation.

Today I would like to talk about the common mistakes that girls make when they choose to text a guy instead of calling him. And in a way, these mistakes mirror the mistakes that guys make.

The first such common mistake is returning the guys first call with a text message. If you met a guy and you think you’re interested in him or you might be interested in him and he called you, he left you a message, it’s only fair that you would call him back.

It is inappropriate to return the guys first call with a text message. The second common mistake that women make is cancelling a date with a text message.

If it is someone you are not interested in and you really don’t want to see in the future then texting is okay because all you’re trying to do is blow someone off and not stand them up.

You just want to make sure they don’t show up so you don’t waste their time.

But, if it is someone who you would like to see in the future, you should give them they courtesy of calling him and apologizing and saying that you are unable to make it, especially if its short notice.

And the third common mistake that women make at different stages of dating or relationships is settling for communication that consists only of texting when they want more.

If all you’re having with a guy is an hour or two a week of having fun and having good intimacy then texting is okay. Why deceive each other?

Why try to pretend that you have more than sex if all you have is sex? Then texting is appropriate. However, if you would like to have more or if you’re hoping to develop more than just sexual connection, texting only is a bad idea.

Texting is the icing on the cake but if that’s the only thing you do and you never talk on the phone, you never hear each other’s voices, your relationship is going to turn from being lovers to texting buddies very soon. Thank you.
